The area of the MJ 14 showing is underlain by Upper Triassic volcanic rocks of the Stuhini Group. A brecciated quartz veinlet in mafic volcanic containing a pod of chalcopyrite assayed 4.17 per cent copper, 0.76 gram per tonne gold and 30 grams per tonne silver (Sample WM-34, Assessment Report 18134).

The MJ 14 showing was discovered and documented by International Phoenix Energy Corp/Prolific Resources in 1988 and by Skeena Resources Ltd (formerly Prolific) in 1991 as part of the MJ property.
